SOCIETY: : HONOUR KILLINGS

  SOCIETY : is a group of people with common territory. Interaction and culture. Social groups consist of two or more people who interact and identify with one another. 

Society is a grouping of individuals which is characterized by common interest and may have distinctive culture. "society" may refer to a particular ethnic group such as western society. An organized group of people associated together for religious, benevolent, cultural,scientific ,political or other purposes may also be considered a society. 

An Indian Hindu male just cannot bring himself to accept the fact that an adult women has the LIBERTY  to love and marry  as per her own  free will.It doesn't matter that Indian constitution gives the right to every adult irrespective of gender to choose his /her partner  "ARTICLE -21"

HONOUR  KILLING :

honour killings were occurring  due to inter -caste marriages upper and lower caste domination. There are many rights and law brought against honour killing but still the practice of honour killing has become wide spreading incident. 

HONOUR KILLING is an act of murder by the family members this would be the immoral conduct of the members of the family who belief in caste and gotras above ones life. The male or any member of the family kills the person  who doesn't match  their  social standing, the key reasons are caste and religion even after 70 years of independence, people still believe in the superiority of caste ,where all people have the right to equal treatment and the  right to life.

By ARTICLE -32 of the constitution of India. The instant coffee writ petition was preferred to seek directions from central and state government to take preventive steps to tackle honor crimes to send a national action plan to guide the state government to form special cells in each case. The issuance of mandamus letter to the government. 

Deepak misra, CJI stated the declaration of preference is  a facet of LIBERTY &DIGNITY inseparable. 

Petition stated : honour killings are

1) Loss of verginty outside marriage.i 

2) Premarital pregnancy. 

3) Asking for divorce.

4) leaving the family  or martial home. 

5) Falling victims to rape. 

HENCE :

The root cause for increase in the number of honour killings are because,

1) Formal governance  has not been able to reach the rural areas and as a result thus practices are continued.... 

2) we need stricter laws to tackle these kinds of killing as this is a crime.

 

CONCLUSION : 

I conclude my blog here by referring to the landmark case the significant improvement from the cases SHAKTI VAHINI VS UNOIN OF INDIA 2018 which was one of the landmark cases and judgement was given by justice deepak misra  stating a proverb "liberty taking the word in its practical sense means the right to choose, right of the enjoyment of freedom must be continued  so that it may flourish with strength &glory.
